Remo Lenisa

Chief Executive Officer

Remo, Compuscan’s Chief Executive Officer, is known for his close involvement in the daily management of the group as well as for having a hands-on approach to customer relations, sales and the design and development of new solutions and services – always having the best solution for the client in mind.

His personal experience in the microfinance field led to his unique insight into its functioning while instilling in him a passion for the credit industry and for his company and the clients it serves. As group CEO, he spearheads the implementation of strategic plans ensuring optimal growth by fortifying strengths and cultivating opportunities.

Instrumental in setting up new data sharing initiatives in the African countries where the Group operates, Remo continues to be an influential force in the credit information industry.

Thabo Hermanus

Managing Director of Compuscan South Africa

Thabo joined Compuscan in October 2017 and brings with him over 15 years’ experience in the credit industry. He has worked for the Standard Bank Group for the past 5 years, in various senior management positions in the credit and collections strategy areas. Additionally, Thabo’s former experience includes being the Director of Nimble Collection Services, the Financial Director of Experian South Africa, and a Management Accountant for Nampak. Thabo’s experience is supported by a B. Com in Accounting and Economics from the University of Cape Town.

Pieter van Heerden

Head of Decision Analytics

Pieter is one of the founding members of Scoresharp, a specialised credit risk management consultancy, which has been part of the Compuscan Group of companies since 2011. As Head of Decision Analytics, he is responsible for unlocking the value of our credit services data assets and other data sources by applying analytical insight, scoring, and software solutions to convert data into business solutions.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, he has extensive knowledge in scorecard development, risk management software applications, SAS, profitability modelling, pricing, Basel II, and portfolio tracking.

Prior to founding Scoresharp, Pieter spent several years at Nedbank where he was recognised with the CEO Award in 2005. Pieter holds an MBA from Bond University and a BSc Degree in Mathematics & Mechanical Engineering.

Frank Lenisa

Chief Marketing Officer

Frank Lenisa joined the Compuscan team in 1996 and has been closely involved in the strategic management of the company as it gained a significant position in the industry and has continued to expand its presence in the marketplace.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Frank is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the group’s marketing functions. He is also involved in the general management of the company by contributing to the strategic planning and business development.

Frank Lenisa holds a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Oxford Brooks University.

Anita Correia de Araujo

Head of Loyalty and Rewards

As the Head of Loyalty and Rewards, Anita enables clients to achieve more than they think possible by helping them to drive their strategic growth initiatives through the optimisation of customer loyalty. Directing the various lines of business under her leadership to design, implement and monitor rewards programmes and initiatives, she thrives on realising the intended results.

With close to 20 years’ experience delivering customer-oriented solutions across the telecommunications, retail, and financial services industries, Anita’s strengths are grounded in her strategic, analytical and relationship skills.

Some of Anita’s proudest achievements include designing and implementing the UCount rewards programme for Standard Bank, implementing the Absa Rewards Bank Funded Rewards programme, rebranding Altech Autopage Cellular Retail, and implementing Cell C’s Community Chat programme.

Anton Grützmacher

Head of Marketing Services

Responsible for the successful development and implementation of sales strategies, Anton maintains a deep-rooted emphasis on the delivery of market-leading solutions and services that meet our customers’ needs. Building relationships and understanding customer trends are key in his role as Head of Sales and Products: Marketing Services.

Earlier in his career, Anton achieved remarkable sales targets for the digital technology start-up, Hitwise, thereby placing it in the sights of Experian. He was instrumental in aligning the two diverse business cultures while maintaining the financial growth requirements during their merger.

Anton is well-known for his ability to create strong relationships and for engineering effective solutions for his clients to overcome challenges and achieve better results. His business development experience spans 20 years across the retail, digital technology, marketing, and credit industries.

Cindee Groenewald

Head of Academy

Cindee has been working in the education and training environment for more than 15 years. In her capacity as Head of Compuscan Academy, Cindee has gained a wealth of experience and expertise specifically related to skills training and development; including skills needs analyses, workplace skills planning and implementation, and the design and development of training programmes and delivery.

Cindee’s career is underpinned by a strong educational and academic background; having successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Psychology, an Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology (Human Resources Development), and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, including the completion of various leadership and management skills programmes. Cindee is also a qualified Assessor, Moderator, and Skills Development Facilitator.

Dirk Lombard

Head of Information and Credit Services (Consumer)

Dirk started his career as a mainframe programmer where he discovered his fascination and love for data and analytics. After 5 years in programming, Dirk joined SAS South Africa for 12 years where he gained valuable insights into the power of analytics deployed on good data.

In 2009, he joined Compuscan with the belief that the company would make a mark on the industry by bringing superior analytical expertise closer to data. Dirk bridges the divide between IT and business with an expert understanding of technology and software development combined with a practical business application.

Wouter Morkel

Head of Information and Credit Services (Commercial)

Wouter heads up the sales and product development for the business-to-business engagements throughout the various stages within the client life cycle. He is highly client-orientated, and consistently endeavours to build offerings that not only meet client expectations, but also break from the mould of the conventional. Wouter strives daily to find ways to address client needs through solutions.

Wouter has more than ten years in specialised banking, where he focused predominantly in foreign exchange, trade finance and debtor finance across several institutions. Following this, Wouter ran a collections and asset recovery company for six years, which allowed him to gain unique insights and understanding of not only credit extension, but collections as well.

Wouter is a firm believer that SMMEs are the future of the South African economy, and that the solutions that Compuscan is developing will change the economy, and, to a greater extent, individual lives, for the better.
